A Message from Dr. Faulk
Dear Crestview Families:
The staff of Crestview School welcomes you to our school community. We believe the education of our children is a three-way partnership between the school, parent, and child. Through good communication and everyone doing their part, your child will have a successful year where he/she thrives educationally, socially, and emotionally.
Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a very active group that raises money to help improve the educational program for all children. The School Site Council (SSC) monitors our school plan and helps to advise us on how well we are meeting the needs of all students. We invite you to get involved and enjoy the journey with us.
Parent conferences will be scheduled during the weeks of October 7th - 11th and March 24th - 28th. You are always welcome to make an appointment and conference with your child’s teacher throughout the year also.
Crestview School is the highest performing school in the Lompoc Unified School District. We are very proud of all of our students and their accomplishments. California is a Standard’s Based State. This means that every child is expected to meet grade level standards. Our teachers are well trained to meet the instructional needs of your child. Our goal is for your child to meet his/her full potential and to have continuous growth.
Thank you in advance that your child is here and ready for school everyday. Attendance is important to all of us and is important to your child's success here at Crestview. If a child starts to miss ten or more school days, it can have a detrimental affect on academic performance. We encourage you to call in when your child has to miss school and ask for homework so that he/she can make up the work that has been missed. Again, thanks for your help in this very important matter.
To our future families who are moving to Vandenberg Air Force Base, please tell us your expected moving date so we can help you with your transition to this area. Please email me at: faulk.andrew@lusd.org or call (805)742-2050.
We are eager to join with you in providing the best possible learning experiences for your child. Together we will make this the best year possible for the Crestview School Community of learners.
Finally, thank you for allowing us to serve those who protect our freedom!
Dr. Ken Faulk
