The Battle of the Books is a wonderful reading incentive program. A state committee of librarians has compiled a list of 30 books that students will answer questions about. Teams of four
students compete against each other by answering 20 comprehensive questions based on those books. Students must agree upon and offer up their answers as a group, which emphasizes teamwork rather than individual ability.

Participation is voluntary.  We will hold a Crestview Battle in January to determine which team will be representing our school at the district level.   A team of our students will compete in the Battle of the Books in Lompoc on  Feb. 16, 2012.

Jr. Battle will only take place at Crestview.  Jr. Battle will happen around the beginning of February.
