My father was in the Air Force so I spent my youth moving around. I started school at RAF Upper Heyford, England and eventually ended up in Tuscaloosa, AL which is where I went to and graduated from Central High School. Following in my father’s footsteps, shortly after graduation, I joined the Air Force. During my 11 years in the military, besides being stateside, I experienced England, France, Italy and Korea. The time I spent overseas exposed me to a whole new world and a diverse population which helps me keep an open mind in my current position. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne, I continued my education at Chapman University obtaining my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum & Instruction and a Masters in Education Administration. I have worked in elementary and middle school as an administrator for 8 years, and I am currently completing my 3rd year as a high school administrator. I have been a teacher in the Lompoc Unified School District as well. I have taught many different grade levels, all of which I have enjoyed. Being a part of Cabrillo High School is an enriching experience. The students and staff all contribute to make this school run smoothly, and it is an honor to work with all of them. My hobbies are sports officiating, golfing, and dirt biking. |
