Vision Statement

The Education Services Division is clearly focused on assisting schools to help their students achieve the district's academic standards. A clear listing of standards approved by our stakeholders and the Board of Education is in place. These contain benchmarks and indicators of successful student performance.

An ongoing process for planning and improvement in a quest for self-renewal and excellence is commonly accepted within our schools and is supported by the Division staff. Systems planning, utilizing a program improvement model, is widely used. This process looks at the development of plans that unify the efforts and energy of the district to help students achieve academic standards. There is a support menu of additional services that schools may use in helping students who are at risk of not achieving standards.

Staff training for teachers and support of people who work with students occurs on an ongoing basis. This program matches the activities contained in the yearly Education Services / School Plan and is published each June. Training focuses on district and school needs and meets clearly identified objectives that position the instructional and district staff in increasing their effectiveness in working with students.

Uses of data to make decisions is commonplace and is used to answer questions and revise school plans. Reporting of results and asking for verification and satisfaction of our stakeholders occurs on a yearly basis. This information is used to evaluate and streamline the district's educational program.
