The Lompoc Senior High School Music Department.

Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to explore the official website of the Lompoc High School Music Department. It is our mission to provide the students in the Lompoc Valley a top notch music education, extraordinary performance opportunities, and provide a place where young people can learn and develop critical life skills such as dedication, leadership and excellence.

We are one of the oldest and most successful music programs on the central coast. Our comprehensive music program offers students an opportunity to perform as members of many different types of musical ensembles.  The LHS Music Department is a collaboration of outstanding students, faculty, school administration, and parents striving to achieve program excellence. Over the years we have been the recipient of many awards in field, indoor, and concert settings.

Our staff, faculty, and volunteer coaches under the direction of Julia Anderson work tirelessly together to help the LHS students in all of its ensemble groups to reach their full potential, and are supported by an outstanding group of student leaders.

The Music program is supported by a very active booster/support organization. All music parents are encouraged to become members of Lompoc High School Music Boosters who provide support to all of our ensemble groups. Fund raising, performance support, and organizational coordination are just some of the support provided by the Boosters.

I hope that you will find this site full of useful information and will consider it your resource to maximizing the opportunities that exist for both you and your student within our department. As the director of this program, I am here to serve the students and parents of this community. If there is anything at all that I can do to help you, or if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours Musically,

Julia B. King Anderson
