Bylaws of the Board
President: Duties
The President shall:
1. meet with the Superintendent prior to all meetings to review the agenda
2. preside at all meetings and shall, with the consent of the majority, decide upon the order in which agenda items shall be taken up if there is to be a variance from the normal format
3. call the meeting to order at the appointed time and declare the meeting adjourned
4. shall announce the business to come before the Board in its proper order
5. be responsible for seeing that the meetings are run by the rules of established Bylaws and enforces all questions of order
6. recognize persons who wish to speak and protects that individual from disturbance or interference
7. have equal opportunity as the other Board members to introduce and second motions and resolutions and may participate in any resulting discussions and vote on all issues
8. rule a motion out of order
9. move a motion forward to a vote and announces the vote results
10. restrict discussion of the question when a motion is before the Board
11. call special meetings and hearings of the Board, public and closed, giving notice as prescribed by law
12. sign official documents that require the signature of the Board President
13. notify the Vice-President when he/she will be absent from their post
14. appoint and disband the selection of committees

15. perform such other duties as may be prescribed by law or Board action
16. confer with the Superintendent or designee on crucial matters which may occur between Board meetings
17. share informational mail with other Board members
