School Boundaries by Grade and Area:
Elementary (Grades K-5)

Attendance Areas

Students who reside at the U.S. Penitentiary, Vandenberg Village, and the Country Club area will attend Buena Vista Elementary School unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

Students residing in the Mesa Oaks, Mission Hills, and the area north of Central Avenue and east of H Street in Lompoc will attend Los Berros Elementary School unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

A listing of streets is attached to designate the Crestview and Los Padres attendance areas.

All other students will attend the school within their attendance boundary unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

Attendance Areas

Students residing in the Buena Vista, Crestview, Los Berros, and the Los Padres attendance areas will attend Vandenberg Middle School unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

Sixth graders (1999-2000 school year) residing in the Clarence Ruth attendance area will attend Vandenberg Middle School and continue through the eighth grade unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

Students residing in the Fillmore, Hapgood, and La Canada attendance areas, all rural students, and the 1998-1999 seventh and eighth graders residing in the Clarence Ruth attendance area will attend Lompoc Valley Middle School unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

Sixth graders (1999-2000 school year) residing in the La Honda and Miguelito attendance areas will attend El Camino Middle School unless they have an approved School of Choice from on file and will continue through the eighth grade.

If a student does not wish to remain at their 1998-1999 middle school, their parents may complete a School of Choice form to attend one of the other middle schools for the 1999-2000 school year.

Fourth and fifth grade siblings of 1998-1999 middle school students in the affected attendance area (La Honda, Miguelito, and Clarence Ruth Elementary Schools) will be allowed to attend their older siblings' middle school. Transportation will be provided only for the students residing in the La Honda attendace area who travel to Vandenberg Middle School. No School of Choice form is necessary.

Transportation

Transportation is provided for all middle school rural students to Lompoc Valley Middle School.

All middle school students residing in the Buena Vista and Los Berros attendance areas, and 1999-2000 sixth grade students residing in the Clarence Ruth attendance area are provided transporation to Vandenberg Middle School.

Attendance Areas

Students residing on Vandenberg Air Force Base, U.S. Penitentiary property, Mesa Oaks, Mission Hills, Vandenberg Village, La Honda Elementary School attendance area and north of Central Avenue in the Los Berros attendace area in Lompoc will attend Cabrillo High School unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

Beginning with the 2002-2003 school year, the ninth grade students who reside in the Clarence Ruth attendance area will begin attending Cabrillo High School unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

All other students residing in the city of Lompoc, except for those listed above, and all rural students will attend Lompoc High School unless they have an approved School of Choice form on file.

Transportation

Students residing more then two miles from Cabrillo High School, within the Cabrillo High School attendance area, will be provided transportation.

Beginning with the 2002-2003 school year, the nineth grade students residing in the Clarence Ruth attendance area will be bused to Cabrillo High School.

Transportation will be provided for all rural students to Lompoc High School.
