Ongoing % decrease across the board to all salary schedules including all contractual stipends. (1%, 1 ½%, 2%....)
Another suggestion, and similar to the suggestion above, is to have an across the board salary decrease that is staggered whereby management has a larger decrease than classified/certification.
An entirely possible cost expenditure savings after negotiating with the bargaining units. A shortened school schedule (eg. 175 student day, 5-8 furlough days) would accomplish the same savings.
