Reduce copier costs and use generic cartridges in ink-jet printers.
Good idea. One of the benefits of using network copiers rather than ink and laser printers for making copies is that the cost per copy is a fraction of a penny rather than cents for each page. The quality of using generic refilled ink-jet cartridges has improved and the purchasing department is investigating the viability of using these. The longer-term solution will be to utilize high volume, inexpensive networked printers.
