Reduce district cost for health coverage; adjust the 100% plan
Health coverage costs increase each year, and the district anticipates an approximate 10% increase in the 2012-2013 based on past increases. Currently, LUSD subscribes to a 100% plan. Once consideration for the Health Benefits Committee is to go to a 90% plan whereby the district contribution to health insurance is less (not including costs for dental or vision). Dental and vision coverage would not be affected by a 90% health plan; those coverage levels would remain the same.
