69. Shift / Adjust Lead Custodian Hours

Suggestion:
Change Lead Custodian Hours: Lead Custodians arrive early in the morning so they can unlock the doors and the bathroom doors; put bathroom trashcans outside. If some other staff member could open the doors then Lead custodians could come in later in the day. This 'could' reduce the number of custodians needed at a site.

Response:
Good suggestion as there is currently a custodial staffing and shift assignment study being conducted in order to improve custodial efficiency. There might be custodial shift adjustments as a result of the study. One additional idea would be for upper grade and older students to place their chairs on desks at the end of the day and take them down in the morning in order to expedite cleaning in classrooms. It also would provide students with a chance to learn to care for their own personal space.
