Mrs. Cabrera has been teaching Spanish and ELD at Lompoc High School since August of 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University Northridge, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Antioch University Santa Barbara. She is currently working on her third year of a Doctoral Degree in Leadership and Change at Antioch University. Mrs. Cabrera holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish, as well as a TEFL Certification.
Mrs. Cabrera’s native language is Spanish; she grew up in Michoacán, Mexico. She learned English when she moved to the United States as an 11-year-old, and knows too well the challenges and satisfaction of learning a second language. Teaching English and Spanish has been her professional passion for over twenty years.
Over the years, Mrs. Cabrera has had the honor of working with students of different grade levels including: elementary, middle, high school, and college level. She has taught Spanish, ELD, ESL, and Leadership.
Mrs. Cabrera has three adult children who are at the center of her life, and loves spending time and vacationing with them. She can’t wait to be a grandmother!
Mrs. Cabrera enjoys reading, dancing, going to the beach, cooking, and traveling every opportunity she has.
