Bond Oversight Committee Application Guidelines

The Lompoc Unified School District (LUSD) Board of Education is seeking a qualified, interested individual to serve on a committee of community leaders which will serve as the Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee. The Committee plays a crucial role in overseeing funding for the District’s proposed school facilities bond measure.

The District proposed to voters residing within the District a Proposition 39 general obligation bond measure that will appear on the November 5, 2024 ballot. The measure will authorize funding for needed repairs, upgrades, and new construction projects to the District’s schools and facilities.

State law requires that the District’s Board of Education appoint an Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee to work with the District if a Proposition 39 bond is passed.

If you  wish to serve on this important committee, please review the bylaws and complete the application located at www.lusd.org/bond
