Ms. Rebecca Ingrahm

Education and Career

Rebecca grew up in Lompoc and attended school in the Lompoc Unified School District. She went to San Jose State University where she obtained her BA in English with an emphasis in Career Writing. She has attended American Public University and Brandman University to work on graduate coursework in Business and Education. She currently holds a CTE credential in business and has started Maple's first Business CTE pathway at Maple in the 2018/2019 school year. 

She has worked in the following industries: legal, executive administration, accounting, and higher education. Her first teaching position was at Laurus College (a career college) in the business department. There, she taught:

  • Economics
  • Accounting
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Business Regulations
  • Business Communications
  • Human Relationships
  • Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Access, and Publisher)
  • Quickbooks
  • and a class on building a professional portfolio

Rebecca also teaches at the Lompoc Adult School and Career Center where she enjoys helping adult learners achieve their goals. In the 2019/2020 school year, she intends to add Allan Hancock College concurrent enrollment classes to the course offerings at Maple High School. 

Teaching Philosophy

Rebecca recognizes the need for more career and college readiness in high school education. She strives to empower students to have a plan after high school. She encourages students to recognize and reach their potential. If you have a question about her program, just ask! 

Outside of Work

Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and beagles (named Lady and Lulu). Her hobbies include photography, graphic design, and working out. She is a member of AAUW (The American Association of University Women) and serves as the vice-chair of the Lompoc Economic Development Committee. She believes in practicing the same civic duties which she encourages her students to reach.
