    Hours for help:

Ms. Jacobson would like to welcome you to Fillmore!  She has been teaching at Fillmore since 1998.  Ms. Jacobson started out as a reading tutor, and then became the school P.E. tutor before moving on to becoming a classroom teacher.  Her first teaching assignment was 3rd grade, followed a few years later with a move to kindergarten, where she has been ever since. Ms. Jacobson currently serves on the PTA, plans the school assemblies, and co-chairs the annual talent show.

Ms. Jacobson grew up in Mission Viejo, California, and graduated from Cal Poly, SLO, where she met her husband.  She earned her teaching credential from Chapman University and did some additional study through the University of San Diego. Ms. Jacobson lives in Lompoc with her husband, and their four children.  Her husband teaches at Maple High School and loves it.

In her free time Ms. Jacobson loves to hang out with her family.  She enjoys watching her kids’ soccer and tennis games, dance recitals, track meets, etc.  As a family they camp at the beach often.  Ms. Jacobson's favorite book is To Kill a Mocking Bird.  Although she doesn’t have a lot of extra time to read these days, she did manage to find time to squeeze in The Book Thief this past spring.

Ms. Jacobson wants all students at Fillmore to have a fun and successful year. Please contact her with any questions you may have.
