Welcome to Cabrillo High School Career Technical Education (CTE)
Thank you for your interest in Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Cabrillo High School. CTE is not the "vocational education" of years ago. No longer is CTE solely for those students who have elected to transition immediately from high school to work. Instead, CTE is for all students regardless of their post-secondary plans. CTE is for ALL students regardless of their immediate career plans.
Career and Technical Education ensures flexible and relevant learning experiences that keep students engaged in their classes while providing a real-world, career-oriented curriculum. CTE students acquire skills and knowledge relevant to future careers and enhance academic achievement so they will be prepared for entry into college and the workforce. Lompoc Unified School District has a total of 26 CTE pathways, and 13 of the pathways are at Cabrillo High School.

CTE benefits students by providing them with a true motivation to learn. Through CTE, students begin to see the relevance of core subjects such as math, science and language arts. We like to say that CTE provides ALL students with a reason and power to learn!
