I am Mrs. Blair--mother, wife, self-proclaimed Texan, and math teaching enthusiast! My husband, daughter, two dogs and myself just moved here after eight years of being stationed in freezing North Dakota. This is not my first time in California, however, as I was born in Bakersfield and lived there until I was seven. Fun fact about me: from the age of seven to twenty-three I never lived in a place for longer than three years. We moved around so much when I was younger that I went to three different high schools. It was at my last high school that I met the teacher that inspired me to become a teacher. She challenged me, supported me, and genuinely cared about my success. It is my goal to do that for my students as well.

Teaching math is truly a passion of mine. My favorite thing about math is algebra because it’s like a puzzle waiting to be solved; there are many different angles you can start from, but you will always end up with the same solution. My favorite thing about teaching is working with, getting to know, and learning from each of my students! I have been in education for 8 years, but this is only my sixth year teaching; I taught for three years for a community college and another three years at both a middle and high school in Minot, North Dakota. I have a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Texas State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Minot State University.
