August 1, 2016Dear Parents and Guardians,It is my pleasure to welcome you back to Lompoc Valley Middle School, home of the Falcons. I hope your summer has gone well and you are excited for the beginning of the 2016-2017school year. I anticipate an exciting year as we collectively strive to foster a culture of learning. I feel fortunate to be working with such an exceptional group of students, families, and staff members.I’m excited to begin my third year here at LVMS. This promises to be a year filled with opportunities for all of our students as we strive to find ways that we can be even better than we have before! We embark on this journey with a pledge to you, our students and parents, that this will be a year of engaging, meaningful and rigorous work in our classrooms, combined with special events, a plethora of technology, extracurricular clubs and activities, and athletic teams certain to encourage our “Mighty Falcons” to be involved and stay connected!
The staff and I invite you to become an active participant in our school community through volunteering, joining our PTA, or attending and supporting school events. Research clearly supports that when parents/guardians participate and are involved in their child’s education, there is a greater likelihood of academic success for the child. We truly believe that communication is the key to a successful educational experience. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our school community and provide the best for the children of Lompoc Valley Middle School. Education is a partnership between the school, students, parents/guardians, and community. All children are more successful when we work as a team to achieve educational goals. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact.
