Mr. Brooks is excited to be your instructor for this year. He is committed to ensuring everyone is treated with respect and given all opportunities to be successful in his classes. Students are expected to attend class regularly, take responsibility for their education and work hard outside of class to perform their best.
Mr. Brooks was born and raised in Lompoc and is a 3rd generation alumnus of Lompoc High School. He loves Lompoc and Lompoc High School. Mr. Brooks is completely vested in the future of LHS and expects students to be the same. While attending Lompoc High School as a student he played baseball and water polo (freshman year), was a member of the marching band, jazz band, symphonic winds and was a CSF life member. So, he literally bleeds blue.
Besides teaching, Mr. Brooks coaches and is the department chair for the social studies department. He coached baseball for 3 1/2 years and water polo for 7 years. He currently coaches his daughters in their youth sports teams. Mr. Brooks also enjoys being able to help his colleagues in departmental matters as the department chairperson for Social Studies. Thus, freeing them to concentrate more on their students.
In his spare time he enjoys playing softball, competing in Triathlons, 5k's - half marathons, adventure/mud runs, and most importantly spending quality time with his wife, two kids, family and friends.
