    Ms. Petersen is proud to teach U.S. and World History at Lompoc High School and to serve as the Vice President of High Schools of the Lompoc Federation of Teachers.

    Born and raised in Orange County, Ms. Petersen is a graduate of La Habra High School.  She earned a B.A. in History from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California.  After a post-college detour spent working in Washington, D.C. for a few years, Ms. Petersen moved back to California to attend Claremont Graduate University, where she earned an M.A. in Education.  

    Ms. Petersen loves teaching history and being part of the Brave community.  She also enjoys reading good books, running, going on adventures with her dog Monty, spending time with family and friends, and learning interesting things to share with her students.  

    This is Ms. Petersen's ninth year at Lompoc High School, and she is excited about another great year!
