  • Lompoc Adult School and Career Center - Extended Closure 

    The Lompoc Unified School District is committed to the health and safety of our students, staff, and community. District personnel continue to monitor the situation by communicating daily with County and State officials to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 disease. We are announcing at this time that the Lompoc Unified School District schools will remain closed at least through the end of April. Every Wednesday, you will receive an update to the length of the school closure and additional information from our school.

    During the school closure, food service will continue and teachers will be available by phone and/or videoconferencing to support your student’s needs.

    Lompoc Adult School will continue to serve adult students and our community through remote and online means. We will maintain our weekly announcements to students through text, email, website, and Facebook page.

    El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Lompoc está comprometido a la salud y seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, del personal y de la comunidad.  Personal del distrito continúa monitoreando la situación comunicándose diariamente con Oficiales Estatales y del Condado para ayudar a frenar la propagación de la enfermedad COVID-19.  En este momento, le notificamos que las escuelas del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Lompoc permanecerán cerradas al menos hasta finales de abril.  Cada miércoles, usted recibirá información actualizada acerca de la duración del cierre de las escuelas, así como información adicional de nuestra escuela.

    Durante el cierre de escuelas continuaremos brindando servicios de comidas y los maestros estarán disponibles por teléfono o por videoconferencia para apoyar los estudiantes.

    La Escuela para Adultos continuará sirviendo a los estudiantes adultos y a nuestra comunidad por medio de educación a distancia y en línea. 

    Mantendremos anuncios semanales mediante mensajes de texto, correos electrónicos, en nuestra página web y Facebook.

  • Lompoc Adult School: We are here for our community!

    To better serve students, we have moved our services and classes to online and distance learning formats. Here is some of what we offer

    NOW, FREE and 100% ONLINE for adults 18 and older:

    1. Spanish classes for 3 levels: Beginning, Intermediate, or Advanced.

    2. Online library (stories & books for all) through MyON reading program.

    3. Four Medical Career Preparation classes to prepare adults for a career and/or for certification programs in Healthcare: Pharmacy Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Terminology, Health Science Concepts.

    4. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or Word beginning level classes.

    5. Career Planning Class and/or Support from our Online Career Center Technician.

    6. High School Diploma courses for new and existing students.

    7. English as a Second Language courses for all levels of students.

    Onsite Phlebotomy and Dental Assistant classes are postponed. We will announce when they are allowed to begin.

  • Lompoc Adult School and Career Center Offers Remote Learning

    To allow students to continue their studies during this time of school closure, teachers are preparing remote lessons. Students will be receiving instructions soon and should contact their instructors or the office 805-742-3100 with questions.

    • High School Diploma students should continue to work online. Teachers will contact you soon.
    • ESL, Medical Career Exploration, SolidWorks,  and Parent Academy students will be receiving instructions.

  • Online Registration Available Now!

    Register for all of your classes through our online registration process. Online registration is FREE and easy.

    • Returning students must know their student ID numbers to enroll. Contact the school if you do not remember your student ID number: las@lusd.org
    • New students will receive a student ID when they enroll.

  • Medical Career Programs Registration

    • Dental Assistant $1400 Classes begin March 2020
    • Medical Assistant $2800 Classes begin March 2020
    • Phlebotomy $2300. Classes begin April 2020

    These are certification programs to prepare for the industry exams.

  • Pre-Register NOW for our Dental Assistant Program March 2020.

    Pre-Registration is FREE and entitles you to receive all notifications as we prepare to begin this program.

    • Students will complete 60 class hours and 40 clinical hours in preparation for the State Certification exam to be a Dental Assistant.
    • Our school will place students into clinical assignments for the 40 hours.
    • Tuition will be due when the program begins: $1,399.00. This includes all materials, books, etc.
    • Students will be contacted when the start date is finalized. We expect to begin by March 2020.

  • Register for Medical Career Exploration Hands-On Program

    Students will build knowledge and perform work in up to 13 medical fields, including: nursing, veterinary technician, radiology, pharmacy technician, medical coding, sports medicine, emergency medical technician, and more.

    Registration fee of $100 is due when student is accepted into the program.

    Class hours are 6 to 9 Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
