Sandrine Zanella is a French teacher at Lompoc High School and a Science teacher at Lompoc Valley Middle School.  She teaches French levels 1, 2, 3 and French 4 Advanced Placement at Lompoc High School. She teaches science for 7th graders at the middle school.  She earned her credential to teach from Chapman University, Santa Maria.   2016 is her 14th year in the Lompoc Unified School District.   In the past, she also taught Biology at Lompoc High and Leadership at Vandenberg Middle School.  Originally, she is from France where she grew up until she was 19 years old, at which point she moved to Florida to become an exchange student studying English. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of South Florida, Tampa and her Masters in Environmental Sciences and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Mrs.  Zanella loves to visit her family in France and speak French. She and her husband speak French at home to their children, the youngest often use French instead of English to speak to each other.  She has also studied Spanish and is learning Italien.  Since her husband is Mexican, the family really enjoys a wide variety of foods of which our favorites are Mexican and French.

Because Mrs. Zanella learned English as a second language she understands how challenging it is to learn a second language and is dedicated to students who want to learn a second language.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact her.
