Summer School (TK-12): LEO

LUSD offers extended learning opportunities to current TK-12 students through the Learning Opportunity and Enrichment (LEO) Summer School Program. 

 

Elementary

The elementary LEO Summer School Program offers additional time for students to academic skills and enriched learning opportunities.

Dates
June 16-July 11, 2025 [No school on June 19 or July 4]

Schedule
7:30-8:00 Breakfast (provided to all students at no cost)
8:00-12:00 Academic session
12:00-12:30 Lunch (provided to all students at no cost)
12:30-5:00 Enrichment session

Locations

  • Buena Vista (Students from Buena Vista, Los Berros and Crestview)
  • Clarence Ruth (Students from Clarence Ruth and La Canada) 
  • Fillmore (Students from Fillmore and Hapgood)
  • La Honda 
  • Miguelito 

Transportation
Available for students attending summer school at a site other than their home school

Middle School

The middle school LEO Summer School Program is designed to provide students in grades 7-8 additional time to develop academic skills.

June 16-July 11, 2025 [No school on June 19 or July 4]

Monday-Friday

Schedule
8:30-9:00 Breakfast (provided to all students at no cost)
9:00-12:00 Academic session
12:00-12:30 Lunch (provided to all students at no cost)

Location
Lompoc High School (Lompoc Valley MS, Vandenberg MS)

Transportation
Available for students attending summer school at a site other than their home school

Registration
School counselors refer students to secondary summer school.

High School

The high school LEO Summer School Program is designed to provide students in grades 9-12 an opportunity to recover credit not earned during the regular school year.

Dates
June 16-July 11, 2025 [No school on June 19 or July 4]

Days
2-3 days/week plus independent study at home
5 days/week for mathematics

Schedule
8:30-9:00 Breakfast (provided to all students at no cost)
9:00-12:00 Academic session
12:00-12:30 Lunch (provided to all students at no cost)

Location
Lompoc High School (Lompoc HS, Cabrillo HS)

Transportation
Available for students attending summer school at a site other than their home school

Registration
School counselors refer students to secondary summer school.
