Eliminate mandatory health care coverage for full-time employees.
Mandatory health care coverage for all employees is one method by which we are able lower health costs for all employees by making the eligibility pool larger. A larger pool does not have the premium rate swings (higher/lower) as a small eligibility pool. LUSD's health coverage plan, its costs, and what it covers is currently being examined by the district's health care committee.

LUSD has established a uniform complaint procedure (1312.3) for all relevant programs per 5 CCR § 4622 et seq . The district has a policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of gender per Education Amendments of 1972, Title IX: Nondiscrimination.
