Community Flyers
Lompoc Unified School District uses Peachjar, an electronic flier (e-flier) company to distribute approved fliers from school sites and community organizations. Distributing information electronically is part of LUSD's ongoing efforts to become a more sustainable school district. Approved fliers from schools and community organizations are distributed through email and posted on school websites.

Lompoc Unified School District (LUSD) cooperates with select community groups and nonprofit organizations that offer activities for youth in our community. LUSD distributes materials electronically via Peachjar. Approved flyers are sent directly to parents’ email inboxes and posted on school websites.
The LUSD Board recognizes the many worthwhile organizations that seek to inform the school community about events and activities of interest to students. The district’s mission and the Governing Board’s focus are on improving academic achievement, and district resources must be directed to providing the highest quality educational program to all students. Because flyer distribution requires clerical support and teacher time, non-school flyer distribution is limited to:

Joint-use partners as established in a memo of understanding (flyer must focus on the joint-use partner’s youth program conducted for district students)

Contracted programs approved by the Board (flyer must focus on contracted programs conducted primarily on district campuses for district students)

Parent-teacher organizations promoting school site-related events, activities, and programs (not events of other agencies and organizations)

Governmental agencies, such as police and fire, distributing materials related to student and community health and safety

Local nonprofit organizations serving Lompoc youth

To request flyer approval, follow these steps:

Go to Peachjar

Register with Peachjar as an Enrichment Provider (account type)

Select your desired schools

Upload your flyer (must include both English and Spanish versions in a single PDF, portrait format, max 6MB, font size 12 or larger)
Your flyer will automatically be submitted to the District Office for review. Allow up to one week for processing. Flyers will be approved or denied based on the standards listed above.

Organizations are subject to Peachjar’s $25 service fee when posting a flyer to promote an activity or event with a participation fee. This fee also applies to free activities that entice participants to join a fee-based program or purchase products/services.
Fee Waiver: Peachjar will waive the service fee when a local community organization promotes a completely free event that does not entice participants to join a fee-based program or purchase products/services.

Must align with LUSD’s mission and extend cultural, recreational, artistic, or educational opportunities for students

Must not promote commercial, religious, or political interests

Must include event details (contact, phone/email, date, location, cost, and disclaimer)

Drawings and photographs must be in good taste (no gang symbols, nudity, or inappropriate references)

Cannot advertise alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or contain sexual innuendo

Cannot endorse political candidates, parties, or ballot measures

Cannot discriminate against or denigrate any group based on gender, race, age, religion, national origin, disability, or other protected status
Peachjar will automatically add the disclaimer:
“Approval for distribution of these materials does not imply endorsement by the Lompoc Unified School District.” -
