Seeking Volunteers: Independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee

Posted Date: 07/02/24 (05:00 PM)

The Lompoc Unified School District (LUSD) proposed a Proposition 39 bond measure to voters residing within the District to appear on the November 5, 2024, ballot. The measure will authorize funding for needed repairs, upgrades, and new construction projects to LUSD’s schools if approved.

LUSD’s Board of Education seeks qualified, interested individuals to serve on an Independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee. The Committee plays a crucial role in overseeing and reporting expenditures of bond funding. If you wish to serve on this important committee, please review the bylaws and complete the application at www.lusd.org/bond.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be at least 18 years old and cannot be current district employees, board members, vendors, contractors, or consultants.

Completed applications should be mailed, emailed, or delivered to the Superintendent’s Office by 4:30 PM on August 30, 2024. Mail: Lompoc Unified School District, 1301 North A Street, Lompoc, CA 93436; Email: contact@lusd.org; Fax: (805) 735-8452.
