Dear Lompoc Unified Community:

It is with great excitement and pride that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! As your superintendent, I am honored to serve this exceptional community of students, families, and educators. Our district, which spans the beautiful areas of Lompoc, Vandenberg Village, Mesa Oaks, Mission Hills, Vandenberg Space Force Base, and surrounding rural communities, is truly unique in its diversity and spirit.

Lompoc Unified School District is home to over 9,000 students, including more than 600 military-connected families. These families bring an invaluable strength to our district, and we are committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of every student. We are also incredibly proud of the rich diversity reflected in the 16 different languages spoken by our students. This diversity enriches our schools, creating an environment where we celebrate the variety of experiences and perspectives that each student brings to our learning community.

At Lompoc Unified, our vision is clear: we are dedicated to ensuring that every student in the District graduates from high school ready to meet the challenges of post-secondary education and the demands of a successful career.

Looking ahead, we are committed to achieving the following goals in the next six years:

  • Each of our students will graduate, and will be college and career ready.
  • Each of our students will be on grade level in English Language Arts and math.
  • Educational partners (staff, students, families, community) will work together to ensure systems and plans meet the diverse needs of each of our students.

Together, we will continue to foster an environment where every student is encouraged to dream big, work hard, and achieve their personal best. I encourage you to stay involved in your student’s education and to reach out with any questions or ideas. Whether through our schools or through our district-wide programs, we are here to support you and your child’s success.

With gratitude,
