Completing Transfer Request Forms

 

  1. Complete the request form.
  2. Submit Forms:
    • Send Forms to warfield.trish@lusd.org
    • Fax them to 805-742-2079
    • Hand-deliver the form to the LUSD Education Center at 1301 North A Street, Lompoc, California 93436

Frequently Asked Question (FAQs)

  • Yes.  If you have a student entering TK or Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year and you are planning to request a transfer to another LUSD school, you must submit an application before January 15, 2025 to be considered for a transfer. This is prior to the TK-K registration window, which will take place in spring 2025. 

  • Yes. If you already have a student attending a school other than your neighborhood school and you would like their sibling to attend that school, you must complete an application. We make every effort to keep families together; however, siblings are not guaranteed approval. Transportation will not be provided by LUSD.

  • No. If you have a student with an approved intra-district transfer, the student may remain at the school for the duration of their educational program. It is not necessary to re-apply.

  • No. Transportation must be provided by the parent/guardian who have opted to attend a school outside of their home school boundaries. 

  • For the 2025-2026 school year, the District will notify families by email or phone and mail about the status of their transfers no earlier than these dates:

    • TK/K: August 11, 2025
    • Grades 1-6: July 31, 2025
    • Grades 7-8: April 15, 2025 
    • Grades 9-12: April 15, 2025

  • Please fill out a Request to Rescind Form below. The deadline to rescind any application previously submitted and approved is May 31, 2025.
